Postpartum support for the transition nobody can fully prepare you for

Helping parents feel cared for, informed, rested, and a bit more like themselves during and after the transition to parenthood.

Meet Meredith

DONA International certified postpartum doula, writer, and mom of two, supporting parents with newborns in Richmond, VA

A smiling woman with brown hair, wearing a t-shirt that says Mother Like No Other in red text, standing outdoors with green foliage and modern buildings.

I’m Meredith; a certified postpartum doula, writer, and mom of two. My work centers on the messy, momentous transition into parenthood: the physical recovery, the emotional whiplash, the identity shift, the invisible work, and the question of how we’re supposed to care for ourselves while caring for other people.

  • "Meredith is patient, informative, and so, so naturally nurturing. If you're anything like me you'll be sad to see her go when that 6 weeks is up."

  • "There were many things I encountered postpartum that I was not prepared for. Meredith validated my feelings and made me feel like I wasn't alone. It was so nice to have a safe space to talk through what I was going through with her."

    -6 week client

  • "Meredith is super helpful, thoughtful, caring and kind. She's truly supportive and does a great job of molding to just what a family needs."

    -6-week client’s partner

  • "I wound up really looking forward to the days Meredith came over! It was so nice to have the help around the house but also just having someone to chat with and offer that emotional support."

    -6 week client

  • "Meredith has so much knowledge, not only through her trainings but from her own postpartum experiences too. She'll meet you whereever you're at with love and compassion."

    -6 week client

  • "Aside from valuing the mom's emotional state in this transition from pregnancy to postpartum, having Meredith's confident extra set of hands for other things like meal prep and tidying really helped reduce my daily stress as the partner."
